AMBIENT OCCLUSION in Vray RC3 for 3ds max
I just wanted to ask that i am using vray RC3 for 3ds max 2009 and i cannot find the ambient occlusion option in the indirect illumination menu...so does Vray RC3 support ambient occlusion? plz help...

You will have to do it manually using the materials override. Create an ambient occlusion material then use it as override material, then merge both renders in photoshop.
Ambient occlusion option is only available in vray 2.0.

The ambient occlussion that bokkins was referring to was actually the vraydirt map. Create a self illuminated material with a vray dirtmap and use it as a material override.
