"mexican village ala sta fe"
Good Day cgp people, ive been doing some practice on texturing. i hope this turn out well,,im still working on this..maybe you can suggest for some improvements..THANKS! worflow---> 3ds max, vray, Ps

Well, I have problems with those "chickletty" thin cocrete panels above the water area. The baku-bako looks unnatural. The textures tell me that they may have been made out of concrete or hard material but the displacements that they show, tells me they may have been made out of plastic or something that makes them bend like that when they age. The bottomline - they look sinadya.
Also without support from the bottom - I fear people crossing will find them drowning when it breaks. That car looks like an afterthought witht the doors striiped of all its paint whiel the rest looks fine.
Same goes for the stairs in the second image, the smoothness does not run well with the texture. It looks modifier'ed in max.
Also the bricks, do not just slapp them into the mesh, make sure that they look aligned with the shape in the same way in real life - the actrual shapes of the walls will be determined by each and every piece of brick.
Also this isn't a slum, it looks more like an abandoned, mexican village ala sta fe except for the cheezy store billboard and car.
By the way - when you create a scene - make sure your elements tell the viewer the time, the lcoation and the era. This one makes me think its a few years after the 50's because of the car but that idea gets contradicted by the other elements. Dont let your audience gets confused because it will take away their very short attention span.
