Re: Modern Mosque
Thanks for sharing Nice design. Do disabled persons come in a Mosque to pray? do you really need to have two ramps? if that's a service ramp... is there any chance you can put it at the back?

thanks sa pagdaan sir, Yung Pyramid mismo yun na ang dome, same as the minaret instead domical simplified square na rin.
Re: Modern Mosque
archshade02 wrote:dome????
thanks sa comment sir. yung pyramidical mismo yun na ang mag represent ng dome bcoz its a modern design, pag onion dome kc nagiging traditional sya.

yes i think it allowed ito for modern design dahil meron kaming mga reference tulad ng Mosque sa Pakistan walang dome pero pyramidical ang design, isang mosque sa united states curve roof naman and dome nya.

It's a requirement under a law. And we should always consider it in our designs. 2 ramps is fine. It's not limited to disabled only, I like ramps, mas hindi nakakapagod kaysa hagdan.
@TS: looking good bro!

Re: Modern Mosque
we are not talking Philippine Building Code here... seldom i see mosque na merong ramp kasi and from a standpoint na disabled ang gagamit ng ramp having exposed to arabic culture in some degree i guess they will prefer to let their love ones pray at home... and the title says very limited ang budget so i find it maluho to have two ramps... afterall doors are still accessible even isa lang ang ramp kung talagang kailangan...

thanks sa comments sir, two ramps does not mean maluho, habol ng design is symmetrical, may punto ka duon sa arabic culture na di masyado gumagamit ng ramp, pero may bagong building law sa UAE na kailang lagyan nito for disabled .

Re: Modern Mosque
.
ang galing ng night view mo bro!
parang kulang sa detail yung both wings. at saka parang kulang sa height yung 2 maliit na towers [or probably reduce the width]. I would keep it at the same proportion as the minaret [W X H]...
to be honest bro, habang tumatagal, humihina yung dating ng 2 ramps [nakiki-ramps na rin ako]. siguro, dahil inaagawan nya ng papel, visually, yung main entrance. try mo kaya ang L-shape or U-shape para hindi sa harapan ang approach kundi sa courtyard. Then cover it with a low, stone-clad wall sa may harap which is slightly higher than your Ground Floor LVL.
CHEERS!

The law do not apply to Philippines alone bro. It's an international law.
I see where you are coming from. Maybe 1 ramp will kill the symmetry, that could be 1 of the reasons. But nevertheless, it should always have a ramp and it should be very accessible. Even in the middle east, they do that. ramps, lifts, etc.

in addition to that:
"The prayer of a man offered in congregation is more than twenty degrees greater in merit than his prayer offered in his market-place or in his home. Therefore, when one of them makes a fine ablution and comes to the mosque with no desire except for the prayer, and nothing motivated him except the prayer, his degree is raised for every step he took and a sin is removed up until he enters the mosque."

Re: Modern Mosque
definitely bok... but like what they always said on this part of the globe... "what to do yani?" thanks for the excerpt too oRangE.n.GreeN... i still believed Allah will truly understand why a disabled/older person will choose to pray at home instead and Allah will love those loveones who will assist their elders/disabled to pray at home rather than insist to pray at the mosque where it will be too hard for them and it's not because of laziness... it's just more appropriate... but yeah... it is subjective...oRangE.n.GreeN wrote:bokkins wrote:Valiant wrote:we are not talking Philippine Building Code here... seldom i see mosque na merong ramp kasi and from a standpoint na disabled ang gagamit ng ramp having exposed to arabic culture in some degree i guess they will prefer to let their love ones pray at home... and the title says very limited ang budget so i find it maluho to have two ramps... afterall doors are still accessible even isa lang ang ramp kung talagang kailangan...
