Question regarding the footing
Pag ba padiagonal ang direction ng column, continuous to hanggang footing or nagiging upright siya bigla hehe.

Medyo malabo ang tanong. Paki illustrate.
Usually ang footing, related to all other footing. Kasi they work or they should work hand in hand to make the structure above stable. Kahit ano pa man ang shape ng columns mo. at kahit san mo sila ilagay within the footing. Pwedeng sa gilid na for those columns na nasa property line, etc. The structural engr can do all these computations para maging stable.

Ang ibig sabihin nya siguro kung naka slant din yung footing, I guess hindi, pero mas maganda kung sa structural engineer mo itanong, mas alam nila ang ganitong bagay,

I see. I think depende sa laki ng column na yan, basta ang goal is matransfer sa solid bedding/adobe ang load. Kung malalim pa, usually naka-piles na sa dulo.
Kung wala ng space sa baba, pwedeng straight na pababa ang footing mo nyan. Kung maalala mo, nabibreak down ang load sa x and y direction. Sa upright columns, 0 ang x direction, y lang lahat. sa slant, merong x and y, so i-consider mo din ang x nyan para walang sliding effect.

depende siguro kung ano ang gagamitin mo kung concrete column o metal post dahil kung metal post usually nag-aanchor sila ng appropriate na bolts or post connector sa conc. footing kaya ang footing ay upright na rin..
