Re: external storage
Re: external storage
Mahirap yung may case, saka baka di supported.

Re: external storage
wag yung may case, i'd go with the malaki na packaged with AC adaptor, may mga nakita kasi akong article na namamatay daw yung powersupply sa loob nung maliliit, specifically sa WD na brand.

hastle yung may adapter sir. kung sa bahay mo lang gagamitin pangbackup ng files ok lang siya. i'd go with portable pero mas mahal yan.

WD na may konting ingat sa saksakan ng cable. yung hitachi brand ko dati nasira agad. di ko pa nattry ang toshiba but still WD ang top of the line ngayon sa reviews.

Re: external storage
Back then, seagate would have been my external hard-disk brand of choice.. but due to an unfortunate event last year.. I began to trust the brand Buffalo.
Short story is, I bought the portable 500 gig Buffalo drive.. then nagkasunog samin.. I recovered my hard-disk among the ashes and melted debris.. basa sa tubig bumbero.. I waited 1 week to dry it out.. pinapagpag ko pa para luimabas lahat ng ashes/dumi/tubig.. then to my surprise, it was still working!
Although a friend told me that hard-disks may have a large chance of survivnig a fire because these things were built to survive heat.. and the Buffalo hard-drive did survive the intense heat.. part of the external cover is even melted. I'll try to post some pics soon hehe

Re: external storage

officemate ko.. naiwan nyang nakaplug sa pc for 2 days (walang patayan
yun pc hehe)... ayun ayaw na basahin )
And yup, don't watch movies on external drives.. just to be safe.. copy them to your
internal hard disk before watching.. tpos
disconnect whenever not in use.

@mhyles
within me, alam ko masama talaga ang lagay nya pag ganun ahaha
but at least now i know what to do. gusto ko sana lagyan ng ice bag on top
ito yung sinisigaw nya...

Re: external storage
ito pa isang tip "Incompatible File System"
The Mac-operating system can read drives formatted under the FAT32 and NTFS file systems used by Windows but Windows will not recognize HFS, the file system used by Mac OS. my mga external kasi na gumagana sa mac pero hindi nagana sa windows or vice-versa yung compatibility issue. Minsan naman nagana sa pc nyo tapos hindi nagana sa ibang pc or nagana sa ibang pc pero hindi nagana sa pc mo my kinalaman din ang driver updates kasi my mga old some motherboards na kailangan require the updated USB drivers to properly utilize a modern USB 2.0 or 3.0 device at yung windows mo kailangan full updated din
Sa issue naman ng corrupted files maaaring my problema sa cable or yung disconnected during a write operation meron kasing iba na hindi muna ineeject bago hugutin sa USB macocorrupt nga naman ang files mo kapag lagi mo ginagawa yun at yung overtime ang gamit which your HD turns to harrasment
Minsan if you are encounter a message like this “no driver found for you device” ang cause nito corrupted yung INFACHE.1 file. This files stores the location of drivers and their INF files. This file is hidden, has restricted access, and can be found in “c:\windows\inf
Ang solution diyan Delete the INFCACHE.1 file and it will force Windows to rebuild the INFCACHE.1 file the next time Windows searches for drivers. To delete this file, you have to set the security permissions of it to allow Full Control for the User Group Administrators or full control for your user account
Open a Windows Explorer window by right clicking on Start and then clicking on Explore.
In the address bar, type C:\windows\inf and press Enter.
Find and then right click on the file named INFCACHE.1.
Select Properties.
Click on the Security tab.
Click on Edit to edit the permissions of the file.
Click on Add to add User Groups.
Type Administrators in the User Groups field and click on OK.
Set Administrators to Full Control and click on OK.
Move or delete the file INFCACHE.1.
