Re: paradise
nice start bro.
crits lang
1. check light source, foreground mountains light sources are off with the entire image also aplies with other BGs and the clouds.
2. camera angle and scale. again applies with both forground images, since mas malapit ung sa Kanan eh dapat mas malaki ang scaling nya but the one sa likod nya kagad eh mukhang mas malaki. check your trees as reference for scaling and rock formations. plus camera angles are different sa kada source image na ginamit mo. youve added a hazed out MT sa kaliwa, pero scale nya eh malaki parin. tsaka malapit at malaki parin for the position.
3. in relation to no.2 check your levels for that instance. check in grayscale always if unsure.
4. water sa gitna eh beach style sya but it doesnt apply kung ganyan ang setup ng environment mo. should be no waves na pumapalo pakaliwa imho
5. the horizon line should match with land plane your creating lalo na ung mga paunta sa foregound. just a few things when creating your mattepainting.
gawa ka pa, keep it up.

Re: paradise
I liked the bottom one bro. Much realistic.
Bro patanong lng, if you don't mind. Mattepainting kasi can be a cruel world, daming miticulous dyan sa area na yan eh. So I just want to know if you are really looking to create a realistic / photographic approach sa mga gawa mu or your after a concept art / stylized approach. Pasensya na ha, I'm just asking this before saying anything kasi baka naman di tama ang masasabi ko.
I can appreciate art when I see it and on how it is applied hehehehe. For now hold ko muna crits ko and just admire your work.
BTW one liitle tip: Blurring an image sometimes makes it look small.

Re: paradise
salamat uli mga kabro's!
eyecon01 : realistic / photographic approach or oncept art / stylized approach
para sakin mas ok kung pagsamahin un lahat dahil mas nafefeel ko kc pagiging "ART and DESIGN" nung subject.kumbaga sa Food preperations ika nga nila IRON CHEF's kung sino man yun hehe d more na marami kang naeexpriment sa isang food mas OKI sa paningin at panlasa ng kakain
... yep tama ka nga mahilig kc ako sa blur effects minsan talaga napapasobra ako hehehe.

Re: paradise
I see bro. Kung sa ganun then some mattepainting rules does not appy to your works. Real matteapaintings kasi does not look really artistic. mas geared towards realistic sya, kayat minsan medyo boring pag tingnan. Don't getme wrong though, your work is good. Its just not realistic. Pero like you said more ka sa stylized then ok yun.
Pero tama naman din yung sabi ni jeff. Just try to tone down the saturations a bit and follow perpective and scale and your in it. Looking forward sa bago mung matte!
