Avida Residence (Added Image with Shadow Option)
First topic message reminder :
A residence in Avida Subdivision somewhere in San Fernando Pampanga. Designed by Arch. Gantioqui. Tools: CAD for modelling; Max/Vray for rendering; a few adjustments in post pro.. Done in LWF gamma 1.8 (my preferred units for more depth).. Single light source coming from an HDRI slapped on a vray domelight (enough for subtle shadows)..
Hyundai Santa Fe from master Kalbo's garage..
[img][/img]
More of a workflow showcase for c&c rather than from a design point of view..
Thanks guys..
Update; this image with pronounced shadows.. Same workflow just added a Vray sun wired to the domelight to eliminate inconsistent double shadows coming from the HDRi & sun..
[img][/img]
Thanks ulit guys..

Re: Avida Residence (Added Image with Shadow Option)
Sir cloud, I follow peter guthrie tutorial, my main problem is when i load the exr file there is no option for 32 bit Floating-Point (RGBA). When I placed into my scene (no sun, very dome light only multiplier set to 1), it gave me a darker BG but a brighter scene. What I I did was boost up my RGB amount or increase the vray dome multiplier to make my BG brighter likewise a much more brighter scene (more GI, burnout result some of my materials). Is there a way to increase the brightness of the BG but not the scene?

Re: Avida Residence (Added Image with Shadow Option)
@sir mokong; hmm, with the images I have above, I used the exr itself as BG, ok naman. Di ako gaanong sure pero I think sa max09 may option to load it in floating point (yun ang gamit kasi ni Guthrie eh) whereas sa max11 (gamit ko) parang automatic na na nka 32 bits na pag niload ang exr. I usually load it as a bitmap tapos set to spherical, i do not load it via vray HDRI loader.. Vray domelight din ang gamit ko set to 1 lang sa bitmap output na lang ako bumabawe, pero usually at 1 din ang exr bitmap ko eh.. I do use gamma 1.8 though, naka LWF ka ba sir?..

yup naka LWF ako sir.. naka 1 din exr bitmap ko.. umaabot nga ako ng lagpas 500 sa output amount ko para ma boost up lang ang BG ko, kaya lng sumusobra naman ang ini emit na GI.. hehe..

I set up my Input Gamma to 2.2 in LUT & I load my exr with gamma 1.0 .
