NPR: Convention Center

Hi CGP masters! After a long 3D hiatus, here's a new project I've been working on. I'm giving realism a rest and try to do more sketchy and painterly renders as another approach to architectural visualization, so in short, no render engine was used in the following pics. Done with Skp 8 and PS CS 5. Other buildings also done by me, trees from SU Podium site, people and other components from 3D Warehouse, and glass facade graphics done in Rasterbator Raster Software. Thank you sir! I think Imma stick to this style for a while. Mas mabilis siya gawin and the only complicated part talaga is the modelling in Sketchup.

would it be nice to have seperate NPR Galleries one for exterior and one for interior.

Thank Sir Nomeradona. I think medyo nafrustrate lang ako dahil I couldn't get the level of realism gaya ng mga people here in CGP so I tried to look for a different approach. Thanks again and hope I could finish a new project before school starts.

Yes, this would be a great idea. Realism of renders and NPR ones both have different approaches and different aims in architecture visualization. Mas magiging organized po siguro kung ganun.

well it does not mean na escape goat mo ang npr. para sa akin npr is another beautiful avenue, likewise as freehand render. photorealism is another one. for me i like them all. I just dont bite the idea, na if you failed to create photo-realism then you have to settle with the other one. Excel where you can excel and always push yourself. so dont give up still photo realism if i were you.

Sir, you're very much right of course. Thank you for the advice as well. I'm not gonna give up on photorealism naman maybe just polish my skills a bit on it and take a different approach for the meantime. I plan on taking an archi vis career track if I can so I'll practice more. I'll try posting my 'realistic' renders here for critiquing so I know where I can improve.
