Natural History
Hi everyone,
Here's my take on the CGTalk's Lighting Challenge...Model was made by Alvaro Luna Bautista and Joel Andersdon.
Textured and Rendered by me using 3DS Max Design 2009 & Mental Ray.
Just checked today that there's a new challege, check it out at cgtalk...

Re: Natural History
render is okay, but your architrave are segmented.
bump also, look like's flat. it cant be perfect like this image? imho.
how about the flooring plain granite?

looks great ...i agree with madznyop. noticeable segmented architrave..lighting is good...rendering is fine...keep it up
Re: Natural History
Lighting is really good sir! It's Perfect!
Segments in curves is fine, it adds realism IMHO
May we know sir kung para saan ang building?

Re: Natural History
Thanks for your critiques! Fair enough, yung mga objects in the foreground should get extra TLC I'm still working on the proper unwrapping techniques. The building is actually the London Natural History museum.

Re: Natural History
Nice lighting, Specially since you used mental ray. Are the views not standard. Hope I could also see the dinos, and some other elements. Looking forward to an update to this wonderful image.

Re: Natural History
sir,ang lupit nman ng modelling na ito,but there are things still need to be fixed like the voussoirs on your arch,,,they appear too long, there are metalwork ornaments between the web members of the steel arch in that museum,,,i think yours has none and the mapping of the veneer stones in your walls appear to be large...lighting is excellent po,,,sa details na lang ang kulang,,,sinimulan mu na kasi ehh,,tapusin mu na lang...hehehe,,,looking forward to see the final output...

Re: Natural History
To everyone!
I really really appreciate all of your comments and cCs! Its funny how when I post an image, I have this habit of thinking that I've spent as much time as I can with it already...got to get out of that habit, or just not post until it's completed...
...which again comes back to, nothing really ever gets totally completed...there's always something to fix, or tweek, or crop, or color correct, lol.
But really, I thank you all again for viewing and comments! I continue to be inspired by your own posts and work!
