fast rendering at the beginning too slow after few renders
First topic message reminder :
Good day po sa lahat ng mga master, I need your help kasi sa umpisa mabilis magrender ang PC ko pero after several views rendered bumabagal siya. at first I was rendering around 20 mins per frame but after rendering several views i was rendering ridiculously 1 hour just less than half of every frame in region rendering.
scene status: autocad linked architectural model + max models for accessories = 2 million poly counts
this is my set up:
1400 x 2000 pixel
AA: adoptive DMC, / catmull rom / min 1, max 4
max tree depth:80
Dynamic memory limit: 8000 mb
default geometry: dynamic
All GIs are saved before the final render.
this is my PC specs:
12 GB ram
NVDIA graphic card
I7 processor
nakakalungkot isipin na Ive got a good rig but low perfomance.
my boss was not happy.
mga masters could you please help me find a solution to this problem.

1. override mo yung materials, say white diffuse only.
then render mo, pag bumilis meaning sa materials ang problema mo
pero pag mabagal pa rin....
2. try mo uncheck yung lights mo sa global switches.
pag bumilis meaning sa lighting ang problema...
3. or you may also merge the file to a new one....
do this batch by batch, render each time you merge. minsan may isa
lang dyan na object na gumagawa ng problema eh...
try mo lang dude....
sir ngtry po kong itrouble shoot and binabaan ko narin yung materials ko and i deleted yung flower model kasi yung ang alam kong mabigat kasi 200k poly siya and then i tried to render the whole scene tapos ito po yung result
4 hours estimated time....

Re: fast rendering at the beginning too slow after few renders
anong estimated time nung nag override ka ng material at unchecked yung lights? San sya mas mabilis dude?
Yung estimated time, actually di naman accurate. AFAIK, yung calculation kase ng estimated time is based sa current location ng bucket.
Meaning, kina-calculate nya yung scene base dun sa bucket on process.
So, kung saan tumatagal yung calculation more or less dun ang problema.
Normally kung saan merong high poly, reflections and refractions dun tumatagal ang calculation, dun din nag a-appear na matagal ang estimated time.

Re: fast rendering at the beginning too slow after few renders
Hellow po sa lahat ng ngreply and I just want to thank you all cg
members
and gurus for helping me. i was able to reduce the rendering
time
sa mga tips nyo.
what I did was to start a new file and
merge
other models 1 by one para malaman kung alin sa mga models ang
ngpapabagal
ng scene and my and my solution was to proxy all of those
that have heavy polys. fortunately almost nothing has change sa mood.
thank you
sa lahat ng mga advices although some did not really focus on
the
real problem which is at the beginning of my work and after few
renders
it will be slower even there is no added things in my scene
except
cameras. I post this problem para malaman kung meron ba akong
kapareho
ng problem. So thank you to all specially to those who
expienced
the same problem as i had...
