AutoCad to Max 2011( Black Model )

Hi guys! tanong ko lang kung bakit black yung model na inimport ko galing autocad? im using max 2011.
na check ko na rin ang customize user interface pero ganun parin.Please advise, thank you po.

thank you sir, ginawa ko narin yan, kaya lng gusto kung malaman kung ano talaga ang settings nyan.

pag naka vray ka sir ganyan talaga labas nyan...try mong aplayan ng vray mat para makita mo...

if Import

- under Geometry, go to Derive Autocad Primitives by, just dont use Layer,Block as Node, Split by Material

if FileLink Manager

- Under Attach, assigned any of the presets listed ( DWG File Saved from Autocad, DWG File Saved from Autocad Architecture, or and Revit) just dont let it blank

one. check if u have the correct normals

if not select the face that is black then rightclick flip normals

are u using vray renderer?... right click again then choose vray scene converter

do have vray lights ? the scene must be shaded using default light not scene light..

These are the problem i encounter lately using 3dmax 2011

if hirap ka sa 2011 verion which is actually very slow than 2009 or 2010...

ang development ng hardware sa market compare sa development ng software hindi proportion.. i mean the pc for 3dmax 2011 is not on the market yet. it opens very slow...suggestion use the version which is for your computer bellieve me a lot of masters use only the version 9 to 2009 version

Follow Rendermaster's way; its the correct one.

nagiging black po sya sir dahil sa material from cad which is included during sa pag import ng models from cad to max. try to use i drop and you will see in your material editor slot na merong name na autodesk generic




My is solution is same as rendermaster under the "Derive Autocad Primitives by"
im using Entity. normals are not the cause of this problem.

Maraming salamat po sa mga tulong nyo mga masters, cge po try ko lahat mga sinabi nyo...

in most cases, this is caused by the normals. try adding normal modifier on
your object. hope that works or else turn on 2 light viewport.

Pano naman mga sir kung galing sa SU. Same problem po.. Black yung model? Hindi kita yung material sa viewport? Salamat.........
