AF Nikkor 24mm f/2.8D

Anyone here have tried using this lens personally?
I am sort of tempted to buy this piece of glass. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Kung hindi ka naman gaanong mapili, pasok yan sa 17-40 na f2.8. I think mas practical yun.

ive tried my friend's 28mm f2.8,manual lens yung kanya. okey naman siya, smaller bokeh compared to the 50mm, i think konting difference lang yung 24mm sa 28 na natry ko, mas liit nga lang yung bokeh lalo sa 24mm. okey naman siguro sya, lalo kung FX body ka. okey yan pang wide angle portraits.

pero consider mo rin yung 35mm f/1.8 or save nalang para sa 16-35 2.8 or 12-24

i think it IS somewhat ok to awesome lens. ayon sa sources ko nasa php16K (ballpark figure) ang nikkor 24mm 2.8 dito sa lugar ko.

i have a friend who uses this lens and it never leaves his D700.

i have considered 35mm f1.8 but i don't want to invest in DX lenses anymore. baka ibig mong sabihin ay yung nikkor 16-35mm f/4? along with 24-70mm f/2.8 at 16-35mm f/4 na-consider ko na. yun nga lang hindi pa kasi justified yung presyo nila lalu na sa katulad kong "hobby" pa lang ang ganitong bagay.

i'll get the flash first, and if my overtime pay is good i'll add the 24mm.

oops sorry f/4 pala yung nikkor. 14-24 pala yung 2.8, sa ef kasi 16-35 ay 2.8. canon kase ako, madalas ko lang gamitin ang mga gamit ng mga nikon friends ko. medyo mahal nga mga yun pero worth naman.
