First topic message reminder :
There is no inspiration at all, because this is a selfportrait. My own picture.
I did this to check how far I could go in term of copying something from reality and how much of it I could recreate into 3d space.
This project is somehow far from my previous portfolios because this constricting in terms of creativity.
This is supposed to be just a week quick project that I started last early December 2010.
But it extended to 3 months, because I have to rest due to eye infection then after that my monitor got busted and I have to send it to a repair shop only to find out that the cost of repair is
equal to a brand new LED monitor, so I bought a new one.
The main obstacle that I encountered is using the Hair and Fur. I'vve been using it for years now but it still difficult to achive a realistic hair, specially styling.
Comments and Critiques are mostly welcome.

10 out of 10... I hope we can compare this to your actual reference. A tutorial would be in order.

@aimcroft - Thanks, If not for my sore eyes and dead screen, I can actually finish this in a week or 2.
Patience and research, and most of all love what you do.

thanks sir.. seeing your artwork adds inspiration to me in doing my project. I studied basic 3d arts in FACA using Maya as the tool. And I've been doing a demo reel to get my certificate. It seems hard to learn at first but you're right, with patience and love of what you do, I can do it right.

opo, FACA finished product ako hehe.. pero need to do some more learnings and research kasi foundation pa lang yung natutuhan ko.. last December lang natapos yung course. kaya ngayon I'm working out with the demo reel. someday after I finished my demo reel, I hope I have the guts to show it here, too.
