3dsmax Newbie! Having troubles applying/making materials on 3dsmax.

Hello! I'm a recent member here at cgpinoy and Ive seen so many great renderings of fellow members. I'm in the design/architecture field and I've been rendering for quite some time now but only in Autocad 2009. I am really trying
to explore 3dsmax but I really have no formal background at the said program and I find it very complicated and confusing.
I can model pretty well with Autocad and I already know how to import my CAD models to 3dsmax, but I am stuck with materials and lighting. I hope anyone of the masters can spare me some advice

Basic applying and making materials lang talaga sir, mapping, diffuse and all the other factors, the very basics, hindi ko palang talaga intindi masyado! )

Actually, kung ano ang materials mo sa cad, pwedeng ganun na din sa Max, hindi mo na kailangan palitan. Irender mo nalang. Good luck!

Nadadala ba yung materials applied from CAD to Max? Paano sir, pasensya na talagang newbie po talaga when it comes to 3dsmax!
