How to make a beach shore in 3D?
Hi guys,
It's been a while since I posted my last thread here. Now I need some help again from the experts.
Intro: The project includes a beach shore (obviously). It's a commercial type of compound like Boracay.
Requirement: Animation - Normal and Aerial scenes.
Problem: How to create beach shore in 3D. I need to achieve the effect of the water touching the sands and creating some reflections and also with the water having different wave level and some white ripples ba ang tawag dun?
I know it is easy to do this kung still image lang. But right now, I need a beach shore model where I can freely maneuver the camera around the scene without that much post process.
Any idea?
I am looking at Dreamscape now pero medyo di compatible sa Vray Engine.

1. one idea is shoot a real beach scene and merge ito into the final output. This is the most realistic.
2. another simulate the water tide going up and down then post process the bubbles in after effects.
3. third is fake the reflection. normal up and down lang ang water, pero ang reflection mo ay video ng ripples.
yun lang ang maisip ko, yung aerial naman, madali lang, pagalawin mo lang ang white na waves kunyari, hindi na halata yun. good luck!

Will check out on that one kaso I think RealFlow deals a lot on details of hydro movements. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hi Bokkins,
Thanks for the suggestions. I'll consider the After Effects on the normal views.
I'v decided to use Dreamscape in my scene. Although it is not fully compatible with Vray Render, I will just separate the sand and water layer and will just composite it in Premiere. First rendering the scene without water and sand in Vray then render water and sand in dreamscape. After that merging them all together in Premiere.
Thanks guys.

You can use video footage map it in a plane.
You can play gradient masking.
slowly adjust the masking and vertexes to your beach shore.
We been using this technique few years back.
just busy.Hope this quickly helps for your idea.

same with reygerali's suggestion, but render it seperately (camera matched to your scene) then blend it in post for better control. same trick you can use for running boats that create waves/bubbles as it moves.

Thanks for the help guys. I'm still model the scene. I'll try all your suggestions. Hope everything will go together well.
