Subject too dark
Salamat po ng marami and more power.

Re: Subject too dark
1. set your camera to auto ISO, (set max ISO to 1600). if you are not happy with the noise, bring it down to 800 at least.
2. if you are shooting people, set aperture to f1.8 to f2.8 for headshots, f5.6-f8 naman pag full body or group shots. if your subject is too far then f8-f16 for more depth sharpness.
3. set the shooting mode to shutter priority, dial to 1/30sec (that's my minimum setting for shooting people, subjective whether you have stable hands).
4. take a test shot. if exposure is good then try increasing the shutter speed (e.g. 1/50, 1/100sec) to improve sharpness.
it would help to learn how to use your in-cam exposure meter (+......0......-), metering modes (whether matrix, centre-weighted, or spot), histrogram preview, highlights preview. these are essential tools for nailing down your desired exposure.
happy shooting!
