Ok got some news. Unleashed the power of your machine using your GPU or say VRAY RT. Got it working in my machine.
HERES is my own test at same scene:
3d max 2010 64 bit and vray sp1.4 = 4 hours
3d max 2010 32 bit vray 2.0 = 1 hour
3dmax 2010 32 bit vray RT 2.0 GPU, engine: open CL : 10mins
How to do it not a rocket science just simple;
also must update your graphic card driver to support open cl.

Bro, tick mo yung vrayproxy object under geometry, para yung proxy marender din.

Nice! Can you post the actual images that took 4hrs? 1hr? and 10mins? to render. So we can compare.
I have tried GPU before but I still feel more comfortable using cpu rendering.

I would be happy to do some test for you, I have a commercial vray 2.0 on my max2011. I can use my quadro card to test and post images. It will be helpful to have the same scene kasi to compare systems. I think a thread with benchmarks of a common 3d scene will help this forum. We can post render times on cpu and gpu, it will help future purchases.

-probably a good:idea: . Let me finish a free scene i have been working for a while now and we can all benchmark the scene using Vray 2.0 against VRay RT Gpu. Im very eager to see the quadro in action.
For now lets just use Vray 2.0 as it is faster than the previous version of vray.

I foresee that this will create a dilemma for people to invest either in Vcard or in CPU. How about Vray integrating both GPU and CPU in rendering system right? Just a thought

Ok, now I just saw the link and apparently the GPU is doing better in the same amount of time. Hmm... I'll try this one in my Max 2009. Do you guys know if it supports SLI or Crossfire?
