how to make 3d tile roof in autocad 2010 (UPDATED with ridge cap)

hope makatulong po ulit...for the sake of those who don't know yet esp newbies in 3d modeling...













































































due to request i just made a continuation of this tutorial....
still on 3d tile roof but with slice....
so let's us begin...

































making the ridge cap....
due to request again hehehe...
this is my way...ewan ko kung may iba pang way...if ever pakishare na lang...self study lang kasi ako sa CAD...

































here is a render for the model i used in this tutorial....







note: this method is not applicable if the project is huge...its only applicable in residential houses...
it contains huge amount of polylines, if you insist, i advice you to make a proxy...

ang ginagawa ko sir nilalagyan ko ng thickness...mas magaan siya kasi kung may thicknes...malelessen ang polycount niya...tsaka may mr proxy mas gagaan ulit...

sir pwede po humirit???how abbout sa ridge roll po..sweep lang po bh or manually made din sa 3d???

update ko ulit kapag may time...depende yan...sometimes sweep ang ginagamit ko, sometimes naman extrude...depende sa mood...hehehe...basta update ko kapag may time...

ang lupit mo talagang magturo sir ronz...napakadaling sundan...more power...

share ko lang po...additional na rin dito sa tutorial...
if we we will use polyline only then extrude along a path, babagal po navigation ng cad natin...
i found a way na hindi siya mabigat sa cad and the most important is faster navigation while working on 3d tile roof...

just closed the profile as shown...


i am currently working on this structure and i found it more easy to use..

import na maging magaan lng at tungkol sa proxy papaano po gawin yun

to add: instead of creating the small portion of the roof for subtraction...on top viewport, you can just slice the roof tiles



both method is applicable.

yeah slice is another way...may tutorials na dito how to make proxies...halungkatin mo sa tutorial section...or type mo sa search button sa taas...

maganda sya pero mabigat..the way i did is one file yung roof proxie kuna siya sa max then merge kunalang sa model yung roof..
