Testing Vray SU 1.89.99
medyo tagal tagal ng walang render. I am planning to do a new tutorial how to use the latest verion of vray from 1.48.89 up particularly the workflow, using the same base interior setup duon sa first interiro render dito. but suddenly i was carried away and inspired since nagkapanahon before Christmas vacation kaninang hapon. Inbterior setup seems halo halo so pasensya na.
sketchup 7 vray su 1.89.99
nomeradona
Final update: this was rendered with a much better noise threshold.

--- I always get a bit, irked, when I read stuff like this. Guys, 3ds Max is NOT the be all end all of rendering. It is NOT the tools. NOT the software. NOT the rig.comgrapart wrote:Galing sir parang render sa max..ayos na ayos
It's the artist behind all those mentioned.
Be that as it may, very nice scene, Noms.

Re: Testing Vray SU 1.89.99
Sir Looker, I think you may have misinterpreted me.
"parang render sa max"<<< this is what ruffles my feathers. It's a statement that says 3ds Max is the BENCHMARK for artistry. Do you agree with that? I, for one, do not. No matter what the rendering engine, its still the artist behind.
"ang alam ko kasi sa artist eh hinde sya limited sa day/night scenes...."<<< exactly what I am spewing here. The artist is NOT limited. To ANYTHING. Be it MAX or SU. Do you agree with that?
As for your link, are you sure there was minimal post production used there?
Sample? Could I see anything from you first sir? Anything at all? Have you posted any of your works here? Haven't noticed, really. Walk the talk...
Hehehehe... Just kidding too... You know...

Re: Testing Vray SU 1.89.99
ah ganun ba sir cloud.... kasi ang interpretation ko sa 1st comment mo is parang walang kwenta ang 3dsmax eh.... magalit na ang madaming tao dito,,,, pero in my opinion, mas madaming magandang works ang 3ds max compared to sketchup. Kaya i was hoping you make us a sample to prove me wrong... since this came all from a misunderstanding, we're cool... right?
i saw your works sir cloud,,, lots of talent, hands down... meron nga akong hearsay na narinig dito sa cgp eh, na yung gawa mo sa frontpage eh sa ms_word mo lang daw ginawa.... totoo ba yun? hehehe ((just kidding about the msword))

@Looker; I don't even use Sketchup, I'm a Max user. I never mentioned that Max sucked. It's the STATEMENT made that I was harping about. Don't jump the gun; delve deeper. As for samples, my current employers prohibit me from posting company works, alas. Not that I would oblige at the snap of your fingers though. And, oh, correction, that frontpage stuff? Not MS Word; did it in MS Excel.
@comgrapart; let me see YOU do this in max;

Re: Testing Vray SU 1.89.99
i totally agree to sir cloud here, i think no matter people say na.. " mas realistic ang mga render ng maxvray kaysa vfsu" you can never tell kaya nga parehong V-RAY diba?, mga stagnant artist lang dito ang magsasabing mas maganda ang render ng max sa vfsu, it'll only take time until ma-update na ng vfsu ang kayang gawin ng vraymax. 3dsmax lang talaga at Sketchup ang nagkaiba sa tingin ko.

Re: Testing Vray SU 1.89.99
hala dapat sa discussion forum dapat ito.hehehehe.
@ looker..
As for the sketchup and 3ds max issue,i think we should never argue about it. Both are really great 3d modeling softwares and has the same powerful rendering engine. max or sketchup man, kung
wala ka talagang talent wala kang magiging magandang output.
You can never say that max has better ouput than sketchup, ano kaya kung sabihin mo din yan sa sa mga users ng revit, maya, archicad etc.artists has different choice program to use and to master it. tulad ni sir nomer, sketchup guru yan, ikaw po?ano na po ba naMaster mo sir?...and remember nasa CGP ka po,Art of the filipino nation,,not the art of 3ds max users.

Re: Testing Vray SU 1.89.99
aba aba napunta pala dito hehehe. anyway merry christmas sa lahat. wag na siguro nating pagusapan ang dalawa. i guess preference narin natin siguro kung ano and pipilihin. in either field or software you prefered, duon kana lang siguro magpakadalubhasa and aim how to help others by sharing your knowledge on this particular software.
sa lahat ng nagcomment.. maraming salamat.

Re: Testing Vray SU 1.89.99
For me guys, here is my opinion,If you are just a 3d renderer go with 3d max but if you do design VFSU has an advantage, because sketchup is very good in conceptual you can see imediately the proportion, and i saw VFSU render here that is pretty acceptable enough. both softwares are great. Both matters software and the artist..

Re: Testing Vray SU 1.89.99
sometimes many people misinterpret the software skethup against max. both have different market.. nasa preference ng gumagamit i think.
second this output is not sketchup rather it is a vray output. vray parin ang engine in the end. it so happen, yung vray su hindi pa gaanong supotado ang mga feature ng vray max. pero sa loob vray parin.
as per sketchup and vray pagusapan na lang interms of modelling, no the rendering aspect of it.
sketchup has no built in renderer. ang output kung and export mo ay 2d ay napakaconceptual talaga. having said some people prefer it that way. sa kabilang banda max has built in renderer. siempre kasama na sa package ang mental ray nya.
pag vray naman both soft needs the vray pluggins (mapa vray max or vray sketchup). so marami talagang ang naguguluhan kapag you use max and sketchup alone when you are talking about the rendered output, both has nothing to do with it. its the pluggin.
anyway napagusapan naring lang. the new vray sketchup 1.48.66 up is more like vraymax now. marami pang wala (proxy) and others, dahil narin establish na ang max.
so if you prefer one over the other than go ahead. there is nothing wrong about it. and like cloud also said, yung pangalawang aspeto ay nanduon na rin sa artist itself. I have seen many very good render na ang gagaling kahit less (in terms of functionalities) and mga to. i have seen also crap renders kahit super mamahal at super gagaling ng mga softwares.
ewan ko lang kung bakit ako nagstick sa vray su inspite na i can also use vray max and i knwo the limitation of vraysketchup pagdating sa pagparse ng models. i guess mas hiyang ako sa vray sketchup, and i have knows some workaround especially in speeding my renders.
so kung saan ang nakikita nyong advantage, go and pursue it.
pero para sa akin mas makakabuti kung use sketchup in modelling and render mo sa vray max. parang ang mga nakita kong workflow ni alex roman at Ronen Bekerman.

Re: Testing Vray SU 1.89.99
