3DS Q & A

please help, i model in SU and Export to 3ds max but when render all my SU material texture are not showing. the material appear plain. Using 3ds design 2010 & default scaline renderer.

First, try checking your normals in sketchup.
The usual workflow for this set-up (SU to MAX) is model everything first, constantly checking your faces(normals). After modeling, that's when you apply your materials.

i know i have done tutorial dito. di kolang mahanap.
first max 2011 supports skp files already or there is an extendion i beleive for max201.

anyway to address your concern: try the following:

1. when exporting 3ds you need to export by materials. create one new folder for your 3ds file. You will see all the texture on this folder.

2. after exporting, you need to re-linked the location of your texture (most liekly ito yung problema mo) so go to customize/configure user path/ duon sa external files i add mo yung location ng folder mo kung saan nakalocate yugn mga textures mo.
