Vray sp2 and 3d max 2009

Tanong ko lang kung nakakaexperience kayo ng crashes sa software na yan..hindi ako makapagrender eh...nakakasira na ng ulo..lahat ng setting ko binabaan ko na pero ganun parin..pero kapag default setting ng vray render eh ok lang ano kaya ang problema...isang maliit na interior scene lang ang gamit ko without materials yet pero may 6 na IES lights...

pc spec: amd 9600 Phenom quadcore. 2.3 ghz.
memory: 4gb with PAE enabled
videocard: quadrofx 1700


any solutions?? sabi sa vray message "unhandle exception"

Bro same fate to me, during my 1st encounter with 3ds (3d baby ko talaga itong 3d due, im into lightwave3d). napansin kong itong problem so what i did is to go around it.... if problem insist, i do a checkup routine. first, save your work and save it to another filename (better start working with file incrementation example room001...room002...003 and so on) so you'll have an organize and workflow files. so first, delete all your light setups and start building a light one at a time.... say... one light vray setup then render.... then put another light set its settings then render again... in this way makikita mo what causes the problem.... maaari din napipindot mo sa vray setting ang item that causes ram crash dahil sa software high requirement at indi na kaya ng iyong ram (also be aware plus ang factor na baka fragmented o burn out din ang ram at bumibitaw na for crash) marami pang factors na pwede cause but for now try it this way...... reminder under vray setting look for irradiance map drop down set the current preset from high to low and click on show calc phase to on para lang bumilis ang preview render mo lang then turn off caustic setting if any for the meantime to speedup things. Have it set again kung for final output ka na

ganyan workflow ko fapz...room001 etc...pero ganun pa rin...inalis ko un IES lights ganun pa rin...all programs in my pc are closed when rendering..pero ganun pa rin..sana may makapaglagay ng input dito kung ano mga technique nila...salamat fafi..

nabasa ko sa internet madalas issue ng vray eh ram issue 99%...pansin ko lang dami kasi gumagamit ng 3ds max dito mukhang malalaki un files nila pero nakakapagrender sila...hay.....

Did u also make a try to select an object and hide everything then render..... and one at a time, unhide by name an object then render again... with same vray setting and so on... ,

fapz try ko..salamat sa effort mo nakakatulong ka pre....sinubukan ko region rendering medyo umo-ok pero nagcrashed pa rin minsan minsan...update kita susubukan ko un sabi mo,...salamat tlga pre...

Voila! problem solved...I switch the sigle sided DIMM to double sided DIMM slots..and thats about it....grabe sakit sa ulo...nagmemory test rin ako and everythings doin fine na...thanks DK....Now I'm in the show...I will post my work soon...........

ganyan din problema ko dati, di nga lang ako makapagreklamo sa vray kasi pirated ang software dito sa china, pero nung nag update ako sa creativity extension ng 3dsmax 2009 ok na, ala nang hang at hindi na mabagal ang render.
libre naman ang extension ma dodownload mo sa autodesk website.

memory ko ang may problema..first time ko kasi mag-asus na mobo..mali mali kabit ko kaya tinuruan ako ng pinsan ko..

bro, marami dahilan para mag crush ung max, sometimes the model it self or scene baka masyado na mataas ung overall poligon counts or may isang geometry na subra taas ng polygon, if you are using rpc to much (specially instance clonning) it may also crush, maybe the output resolution baka sobra taas ng output size, may be before u render restart mo muna ung max mo para ma refresh nya yung system, mdalas din kc mangyari sa akin yan here in singapore, kaya restart ko muna ung max bago me magrender,sometimes sa setting din ng vray parameter try to lower the some setting, ies light also contribute to slower the max and crush (to much on ies light) or the software and the hardware it self. remember lang ung hard ware ay may 'limitation". i hope makatulong ito.
