Modern Minimalist, Modern Zen, Modern balinese

hello guys im new here. one of my friends introduced me to this website and honestly, the past few days i have been lurking around and i am enjoying! i enjoyed reading and viewing images more than FB. anyway heres my dilemma. we are planning to build a new house, a friend told me that there are "3 kinds of modern houses" to choose. 1. modern minimalist 2. modern zen and 3. modern balinese. so he said which of the three is your choice? until now i have no idea! the reason why im here is to ask, meron ba talaga distinction yung 3? or iisa lang yan ginawa nya lang complicated?

i want a good design. baka maging chopsuey pag pinag halohalo ko ang design ng bawat isa. so if ever gusto ko modern minimalist yun na not with a roof of Zen. or i want a zen not with a roof of balinese

napansin ko kasi na ang Zen may roof. yung modern na BOX type walang roof. balinese wala pa ako nakita so hindi ko alam. i hope ma enlighten ako. thanks in advance

sir since we're in a tropical country i would suggest yung modern balinese with some touch of zen, to make it more relaxing, if properly put together the design will look great naman po.

or if you want it without a roof po, pwede naman itago yun sa design, huwag lang po roof deck, unless may sendary roof sya, kasi magiging problem nyo po yun in the future in terms of water proofing, and mas expensive din po sya compare to a roof

thanks archFews2!! so pwede naman siya i combine hindi sya mag mumukhang trying hard? may iilang bahay kasi ako nakita sa isang village sa QC medyo mukhang trying hard eh. sa labas mukha syang Mediterranean pero may touch of Zen. well hindi po ako architect pero siguro kung Modern Zen na may touch ng modern bali or boxtype ok lang pero victorian or Mediterranean na may touch of Zen parang off me.

saakin lang po yun ah. no offense kung may gumawa na ng ganun. baka naman pwede talaga.

Yes sir, di ko din type yung mga ganung design, modern balinese would be great for a tropical country like us, a combination of zen + balinese would be nice. it'll look more sophisticated and tropical plus the maaliwalas feeling

it'll still depend on the scale of the project sir, minsan almost the same lang din, as of now po kasi nasa 20K per square meter and construction cost for a residential, complete na yun sir and pwede pa naman bumaba or tumaas depending on the specifications, pero since napuno na po ng Mediterranean inspire houses ang almost all of the subdivisions sa qc i would suggest that you go for a different style, at least unique kayo sa lahat . i can also do the construction sir if needed

at least sir you collect photos from magazine, yung house design na type nyo, and then from there makakacomeup na ng design na atleast mamimeet yung gusto nyo na kalabasan.

regarding sa roof, mas practical for me ang meron eaves for maintenance purposes. The big disadvantage na nakikita ko sa mga box type houses is yung stain sa mga walls from acid rain, baka after 2 years pa lang kailangan mo ng ipa repaint exterior mo kung ganun, not unlike yung may mga eaves, hindi malalgyan ng stain yung wall mo from acid rain. i hope this will help you decide.

agree with that sir, at the same time block pa yung direct sunlight.

Why not Modern Filipino?
