Black and White
Here are some black and white images I have taken.
These were taken while I was trying to learn the zone system.
Deliberate spot metering was done to be able to capture the widest dynamic range in one shot.
No bracketing, no post processing. Just pre-visualizing the shot and planning the exposure.
Still need to master the zone.
enjoy!

Re: Black and White
ewan ko ba, most of the images i take now are in black and white. lalo na ngayon with the d700, mas may control na sa exposure. bitin ako sa d60 eh.
nice shots too! expand natin itong thread na to for black and white images.hehehehe!

Re: Black and White
here are more BW images.
most are practice shots while learning and grasping the zone system.
Zone system was developed by the great Ansel Adams. The zone can be used more effectively and efficiently
using digital if you like to control your exposures and not depend on the camera's smart exposure metering system.
these images were exposed to get to know ZONE III- dark areas with visible texture details.
thanks to my ever patient model...YODA!!
my avatar...shot with 3 led emergency lights...lol
moon shot
more on the zone system, please read Ansel Adam's book "the negative". Medyo nosebleed but
its a good read, then more info can be found on the net (simpler and easy to understand).
enjoy!
