map tiling????
hello po sa madlang people. sana po matulongan nyo ako. i was thinking how to minimize the obvious tiling or repitition of maps as they are applied on a large surface like for example on a lawn or perhaps on a vast uninterrupted wall surface without editing the output image/render in an editing software. i hope you know what i mean. most of the time maps that we load on the diffuse map slot is just cropped from a larger image. so when you apply them its obvoius that there will be tiling because of the repetitive recurrence of the cropped image/map. how can we possibly reduce the obvious tiling in max? i tried "mix map" but this doesnt solve the issue absolutely. any brighter ideas guys?? hope you can help. thanks in advance!!!

Re: map tiling????
As for ground cover like grass, meron tayo ditong tutorial on that.
Sa walls naman, try mo check ang arroway.de, meron sila mga sample textures doon na pwede mong gamitin.
And yes, you really need to look for seamless textures.
