Test Shots for Short Film #01

First topic message reminder :

Hi guys, just wanted to share some composites for a short film that we are working on..

3dsMax using default hair and fur (characters are rendered in scanline), environment BG in Vray, composites/color corrections done in After Effects. All elements in 3D (a few planters taken from preexisting evermotion libraries).

@celes: looking forward to the composites.

Here is a simple rundown of the composites.

1. Background Plate - rendered in Vray




2. Gorillas - rendered in Scanline, area shadows (the speed of the rendering here was surprisingly fast)




3. First composite - Background and Foreground




4. Zdepth Pass - can be set in the "Render Elements" dialog box, just select Zdepth and set the distances. (in vray the element is VrayZdepth)




5. DOF applied in AE with the Zdepth pass as the DOF layer




6. Final Comp - with color adjustments and effects (curves + film grain)

ayan, may breakdown na. It's like how some of the cg movies are rendered. you guys have a really good post editing skill, from the raw render to the final comp, you can see how the colors becomes even better looking.
