LEED GA in UAE UAP

Subject: LEED GA Exam Preparation
The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) is a non profit trade organization that promotes sustainability in how buildings are designed, built and operated. In the UAE, there is a current emphasis on sustainability with the introduction of LEED, BREEAM and Estidama, the UAE equivalent.
A LEED Green Associate is an individual who has passed the LEED GA exam and who want to demonstrate green building expertise in non technical fields of practice, which denotes basic knowledge of green design, construction and operations.
This was explained in detail by representatives of Chicago Management Training Institute (CMTI) during the chapter meeting last Aug. 6, 2010. Refer to www.chicagomti.com for further details.
The course duration is 16 hours and is preferably taken on 2 consecutive fridays.
The UAP UAE has partnered with CMTI in delivering management training to our members. A special course fee is now offered to us at 1,500 aed inclusive of extensive course materials, case studies, mock exams with the training to be conducted by a LEED certified instructor.
