regarding practice..i think practicing using evermotion with its render and lighting settings in it is not a practice at all even thou some editing happened.. im just thinking, how can you learn from there. maybe it will be better to use other models (old project will be better), and try to apply the settings in it..maybe from there you can compare the difference and practice will be more effective..
(i have evermotion model as well but i havent tried rendering them..i am more on the images for reference)

While the other guys churn the same quality images (most probably better since you'll run out of evermodels anyways) in just 15 MINUTES. I think this is entirely lost on the TS. But if you're being paid mega-bucks for it by all means render week-long outputs... Otherwise...

-well I guess step by step ang practice.
-nakapagrender na din ako ng 10-12 hours on a core2 duo 2gig machine,
my "One dull september afternoon" took forever to render because tinaasan ko lahat ng subdivisions ng materials.
-then nag practice ulit ako how to get same quality on a shorter time
-then practice on modelling kasi nagsawa sa evermotions
-then practice again, experimenting on other settings
-until now still practicing

@TS: nice render
-and yes ok lang gumamit ng evermotion, darating ka din sa point na magsasawa ka sa kanila, and you'll start to call them the nevermotions(but still gagamit pa din occasionally kasi palage rush sa office)so start to practice modelling early.
back to your render:
-remove the wall clock
-add displacement on your stones (wall)
-whiter material on your throw pillow
-edit your carpet, show some uneven surfaces para di mukhang flat
-for me, camera is a bit high
-try to change your pendant light (the glass one)
-and a little play on the color balance sa PS
that's all for now.

@TS - just take the comments, crits and suggestion professionally. It will do wonders not just on your work but for you as a professional.

being a 'MASTER' - when you reach the point that YOU self proclaimed that you are a master already then I must say that it's the end for you. There's a big difference when other see you as a MASTER, than seeing yourself as a MASTER. Just try to improve and treat your latest work as your best.

Nice practice though, looks nice thumbsup

Post by ninong Tue Aug 10, 2010 9:17 pm

PEACE peace man

@cloud20 - ganun ba yun, hehhehe di naman ako master. it so happen iyon ang username ko.

anyway as for the thread... this is the worst scenario, major usage of those evermotion archmodels/archinteriors. to the point na baguhin mo lang ang color ng isang scene rotate sa kabila ang camera, render and thats it, sasabihin mo na ...MY RENDER..., the point there is, are you satisfied? makakuha man ng mga praises deep inside parang niloloko lang natin ang ating sarili.

as for the ts and for those na mag-aattempt na gumamit ng archinteriors for thier self satisfaction, just simply elaborate what you have done. kung settings ang binago, then post the settings too, or just simply put the original piece for comparison. kung color or just a small part ( maybe the door knob only) eh wag ng ipost. lalo lang kayong di matuto kapag ganyan. accept lang natin ang mga weaknesses natin. dont just post just to earn a number of post, di iyon makakatulong sa inyo. hope its clear.

tagal naman nun. gumagamit din ako ng archinterior scene eh. peru napapababa ko naman yung rendering time. ang ginagawa ko I totally change the whole render settings, then i will put my own render settings. my exterior and interior render setting are the same. may archinterior ako nerender ng 3 hours, nung binago ko the whole render settings, umabot lang siya ng 40mins, wala naman nabago sa quality. Advice ko sayo sir basahin mo mabuti yung vray, intindihin mo mabuti every function ng vray. at gawa ka na lang from the scratch talaga. Good Luck... Smile

hmm... aother "hot" topic.

I think it's, as they say, a matter of professionalism. Kahit hindi ka naman 3D proficient dapat malaman mo na you need to respect the artist na gumawa ng 3D. It okay to say na practice mo lang yan but if I were you, I wouldn't post that in the internet.

And 20hrs of rendering is right not that efficient. Bakit pa ako nag Vray di ba?

Masters or not it wouldn't matter here in CGP. In my opinion all of us are students and we all learn from each other.
