Small Space Challenge

First topic message reminder :

Hi guys, just wanted to share my latest design. Sinukatan kasi namin ang paglilipatan namin kahapon. And we found out na may area pala na 2 meters lang ang lapad. Then may poste pa sa gitna sa isang area kaya 1.4 nalang. Sa sobrang challenging, di ako gaano makatulog hanggang sa nasolve ko ang problem. Odd space itong area na to, sabi nila provision for elevator daw in the future. Pro mukhang impossible na magkaron kaya ginawa nalang isang laboratory ng drugtest. Na icoconvert namin ngayon sa isang pad. 2x8 + 1x8 na outdoor area. Hinati namin ang out door na maging indoor at 1 point para lumaki ng konti. High ceiling to (@3.2m)but not high enough for a loft (sayang). Kaya ito naging solution ko. Meron kami isang bunker bed. Gagamitin pa din namin yun. Post ko updates dito pag nasimulan na.

Extending the closet/cabinet up to the ceiling I think does not affect the space after all. The reason for that is an additional 'closed' storage and nothing else, my humble opinion.

di nga naapektuhan ang design but it gives illusion na masikip, un lang for my opinion, gusto ko lang sabihin na pwedeng i hinge ung table/ or nook same as ikea type. agree naman ako sa sinabi mo na magiging fixed ung dining kung ilalagay ung ref. wala naman akong sinabing masama. we are here to give opinion to agree or to disagree.

At wala naman akong sinabi na masama, meron ba? Highlight ko yung pointers ko sa taas para ma follow mo. What you have quoted was the 'extension of the cabinet up to the ceiling', right? on my part I don't say na it gives the space tight and that's my opinion. I don't even gave a comments regarding that dining table. What I have said na magiging tight siya was about the outdoor sitting, please review my pointers above. Thanks.

nakakamangha talaga pag ganito ka sikip ang area...sir suggest ko lang yong center post since nasa gitna sya gamitin mo na sya as partition,clad mo yong face facing sa ledge table including yong space between sa post at wall...yong part ng post complete cladding sya, yong part na may space put something shelf pero butas pa rin sya para meron ka lagayan ng mga vases etc.... so meron ka na ngayon accent piece sa gitna at the same time focal from the entrance. 'tol

i agree. why not put this up as a competition. the winner doesn't have to receive anything, just the honor of "best cgpinoy tight space planner". just a wild idea.

tanong lang ako bro kasi namention mo na 2.1 ung ceiling, height ba un? with artificial vent ba? i guess mababa un para sa allowed ng NBC? hindi ba 2.40 meters ang minimum height na allowed sa NBC provided na merong artifical vent?

Yup bro. Yung existing nito 2.1m. Ginawa yatang parang laboratory/storage. Right now, gagawin naming 3.2m. High ceiling. Thanks bro.

pahabol: if only you could re-arranged the kitchen to be at the dining area para magbenefit sya sa outdoor air kasi sa liit ng place mabuti na ung mabilis makalabas ang amoy just in case magluluto, im sure magawan mo din ng paraan ung outdoor sitting. put the t&b kung saan andun ang kitchen, and then ung bunkbed and dining will be placed dun sa t&b location now... imho it will be ok din.

tanong ko na rin kung paano ipapasok ung mga appliances? kelangan ba talaga bro na merong wall na nakaharang dun sa main entry? kitang-kita ba sa labas ang loob just in case wala ung wall?

Thanks bro. This is a personal project kasi kami din ang titira. Existing na yung mga structures and areas like yung kitchen and t&b. More or less yan na din ang location nyan. Sa project na to, our goal is less expensive as much as possible at the fastest time to renovate as possible, so wala gaanong relocation ng plumbing lines etc. On top of the kitchen is an opening that will also serve as an exhaust. Saka less cooking kami dito since may kainan just outside. The area is sunken kaya may wall sa harap, exisiting na din yun, di ko na tatanggalin. I am more concern of the width than the length, 8m length is more that enough space, pro yung 2m at 3m na width, dun ang challenge.

Sa pagpasok naman ng gamit, madali lang, yung bunker bed na-assemble naman. Pwede pala ako maglagay ng mirror sa dining area. Baka ganun nalang siguro. Thanks ulit bro!

i appreciate your reply bro sabagay nga, kung practicality ang paguusapan is medyo may kamahalan kung magdemolition pa at relocation ng mga fixtures. goodluck bro.

update lang sa materials na gagamitin ko.
1. Mariwasa na 60x60 wood design ceramic tile or equivalent.
2. Plyboard at s4s sa cabinets and woodworks. Clear varnish. Hanap ako ng medyo matte ang finish.
3. White paint.
4. Gypsum board sa ibang part ng ceiling, Exposed ang iba.

Basically ito lang. Excited na ko sa output. Thanks ulit mga bro. Share ko din ang construction nito. My goal is to achieve this look at minimal cost and to inspire others din in a way.
