Re: Holiday Cat
ganda bro!
kumpletos rekados--nice subject, catchlight on the eyes, eye-contact, sub-surface scattering sa ears, clean bg. i could be more demanding technically (sharpness, cropping, highlight clipping) but i know you'd be able to figure it out naturally.
keep on shooting!

Re: Holiday Cat
simple lang bro ang workflow ko sa whitebalance:
1- set auto wb/ shoot in raw format
2- next is to set wb using lightroom's wb presets
pag di ako happy sa presets:
3- adjust 'temp' (towards blue for cooler, towards yellow for warmer)
4- adjust 'tint' (normally use this to further adjust skintone, seldom used for other things other than portraits or toys with human figures. notice from green to magenta dahil usually skin tones have these cast and most of the time you won't be needing to drag the sliders extremely)
at that point (4) is only to establish wb as seen. for creative colour tweaking mas marami nang controls ang kakalikutin ko.
actually maraming techniques sa pagk correct ng wb gaya ng
1- wb eyedropper tool (lightroom/photoshop). you basically use the tool to click on any part of the image that is white. in ps you even have an eyedropper for white, black and middle grey (more for exposure correction). the pros usually shoot their first scene w/ a wb card then use that for calibrating their images using the wb eyedropper tool.
2- wb filter cap, you set your dlsr to analyze wb with the cap on (under custom wb mode). this is essential for shooting in mixed-lighting conditions.
3- etc. sobrang dami but those mentioned are pretty basic and easier i guess.
very basic for whitebalance tweaking is for whites to appear white. so if for example your portrait shows the white of the eye yellowish or with cast of colours, then you know something's wrong with your wb setting. but you can't be wrong if that's the colour you intended in the 'creative' sense.

Thanks sir glen for the ideas.Ako ganun din yung ginagawa ko.Shoot as raw para mapalitan ko pag dating sa image converter or kahit sa LR.Oks din yung eye dropper sa LR.Point mo lng sa white part ng image then auto WB na..Thanks ulit sir.
