Kitchen One

Finally here it is, the WIP posted yesterday. Based on the layout done by a friend that i gave some pointers in lighting in 3ds max, i just played around with the floor plan and came up with this.

Done in 3dsmax, using old techniques (standard camera + exponential 2.4/2.4), and some retouches to flaws using photoshop. Comments are welcome.

For those curious about the frosted glass, here is how i did that:

bale...nilagyan ng noise sa bump. kung meter ang unit ng max ninyo, sa parameters ng bump, yung value ng size doon, gawin mo lang 0.005, tapos ang strength ng bump nasa 40 lang..diffuse color 242 ang RGB, reflect 181 RGB, tapos refl. glossiness 0.98, refract 185.

I'll post the settings later on. I'll make a screen grab first.

Dude Ed, as much as possible avoid putting your vray light near the edge of the wall. Like what you have here, the edge of light is very obvious and sharp.

Ambient occlusion would make your cabinet doors and walls as well look more convincing, right now it needs a little improvement.

actually malayo sa edge ng wall sir yung vray light...the is only 1 vray plane light placed at the center of the scene, i yet have to try using sphere light for interiors like this, i'll try to make another scene using some other options. Hirap din kasi totally enclosed yung area na ito, room type siya na kusina.

as for ambient occlusion, di ko muna activate yung AO na built-in sa new vray...di ko pa gamay..thanks sa suggestion sir...

nice and neat render chief, suggestion lang dun sa back wall ng range sir, it would be better to have tiles or s/s cladding on it for easy stain cleaning. the rest approved

Oo nga, naisip ko din yun, not really an expert with kitchen designs, so your suggestions are welcome, anyway this is just an exercise with rendering methods, composition and a little bit of design too...thanks for the idea, really appreciated.

And for those asking for the frosted glass setting, here it is, hope this helps you in making your own shaders guys.

salamat...yup noise na nilagay sa bump slot..meron settings, pwedeng paglaruan based sa taste mo.

Thanks sa comments and suggestions sir..as for the plan/kitchen layout, yan kasi yung exercise ng tinuturuan ko sa lighting, di ko na pinakialam layout, yung material finishes lang ang ginalaw ko at ceiling design.
