Re: How to recover max file?
Pwedeng under sya ng My documents.
Piliin mo lang yung latest.
Or, hanapin mo yung max.bak, rename mo lang yung file extension nya to .max ok na yun.

Dude wag mo syang i-open direct from max, sa explorer mo sya hanapin kasi .bak palang yun e.
Kailangan mo pang i-rename yung file before mo ma-open.

Re: How to recover max file?

Re: How to recover max file?
filename_recover.max
Wherein filename = yung file na nakabukas bago nagcrash yung max mo. nasa file/previous yan..hope kuha mo ang ibig kong sabihin.

Re: How to recover max file?
And be observant din sa behavior ng 3d apps mo at certain events such as the one you just experienced.

Which I think yung .bak lang talaga ang paraan.

If I may add, make it a habit to save a copy, atleast two to three of the same file.
It's a life saver believe me!

ditto on this one dude...malaking tulong din, pag yung designer mo, bumalik bigla sa lumang design, presto! nag save ka ng earlier version ng ginagawa mo...save ka na sa hirap magmodel na pabalik...he he he..wag matakot kung dadami files mo, ang mga drives ngayon 1 terrabyte na..ang hirap mapuno niyan.
Back on topic...just look for the max.bak file, using windows search feature.

Re: How to recover max file?
under customize/preferences, on the files tab.
under the autobak section, located at the lower left of the dialog box, make sure enabled is checked.
It should be checked by default upon installation. Maybe someone messed up with your max file.
and may i also add..
under file handling options, make sure these are checked too
- backup on save
- compress on save
hope that helps
