importing 3d model files Empty importing 3d model files

HELP! mga masters.. i'm having a problem importing some download 3d models.. pag po iniimport ko na sa model ko sa gnagawa ko nawawala po yung mga material nya pag ngrerender na..pero yung ibang model po andun yung materials nila.. what will i do??...salamat po in advance mga masters... Sad

ung maps nia hndi nka link sa max file...
eto usually gngwa ko.. put the maps folder same ng folder ng max file

try nyo po to...
customize/external files tab/add..
tapos browse nyo yung folder nung materials nung model. you may check add subpaths kung maraming subfolder yung mga meterials.
hope makatulong po ito.

pare saan mo ba galing yung mga models mo.... dapat may kasamang bitmaps yon pag dinownload mo....

i-copy mo nalang yung mga maps(yung bitmaps) sa c/program files/autodesk/3dsmax200?/maps para sigurado

basta dapat yung dinownload mong models may kasamang bitmaps

i- copy mo yung mismong mga pictures hindi yung buong folder

Or better still, learn to use and setup the vray shaders yourself. In real life situations, not only will you be required to setup your own shaders, you will also be asked to make your own set of custom maps using photoshop and other image editing tools.

As for your problem..there are many solutions to that.

you can:

1. use the material editor's eye dropper tool and pick on your model. it will show you the material properties of your model.
2. under diffuse slot, click on your bitmap, and you will be able to set the path to your textures.

or

As they said, copy the maps of the model to your project folder, and path it from there.

But then again, learning to texture it your own way, will give you the edge over those who rely to much with these stuff from evermotion.
