Help on attaching materials
Pwede po bang malaman kung paano i-separate ang models on each parts, para malagyan ko ng texture or materials. The 3d was only downloaded and nakagroup na siya kaagad, (home entertainment for example) when i try to attach materials all parts of the model nalalagyan po. Anyone who can help concerning, would be much appreciated. Thanks.

convert to edit poly. then select each face you want to put texture.

Re: Help on attaching materials
kung nakalock sya, it means di sya nakagroup, one object sya with different faces or material ID. follow sir yaug suggestion.

Re: Help on attaching materials
material mapping
1. sample model, single, not group
2. check the model if it has material already
3. use the eyedropper tool, pick some face/part on the model and the material will show up, edit it as you wish
4. if the model has no materials, right click on it then convert it to poly.
5. use the polyediting tools too select parts of the model you wish to add materials
Still not clear, consult your 3d max help files
