first sketch up render
nowadays, it seems like it's a must to be flexible with different rendering software, so i tried sketch up!.
thanks to the tutorials on cgpinoy. ^_^
may pros and cons din pala mga rendering softwares.
i find sketch up models very accessible and madami talaga, parang nag sho-shopping lang ng lahat ng kailangang models esp. sa furniture, unlike in 3d max medyo may effort ang pag hahanap ng free 3d models.
rendering wise, i find 3dmax na mabilis kesa sa sketch up, or maybe it still depends on the render set-up. pero for these images medyo natagalan ako.
cnc are very much welcome.
img 01. i have to edit this in photoshop dahil sa noise.pero masyado silang madami.
img 02.just a simple scene

Re: first sketch up render
nice sketch-up output ma'am,correct me if i'm wrong but mahirap talaga ma achive yung quality renders in least time sa sketch-up.but modeling wise it's faster, that's why some of our member's here do using sketch-up for modeling and export it to max for rendering...

medyo mahirap nga,,,matagal mag assign ng material and matagal ang rendering time. i tried to export a furniture from sketch up to 3dmax pero parang naging mesh type yung object, tapos kitang kita yung mesh lines ng sketch up.sayang ang dami pa naman na models ang available sa sketch up.>.<
Re: first sketch up render
Your first works in sketchup are really nice Maam. Although there are some comments, it's understandable because it's your first time. I suppose you are using a render plugin like Podium, Twilight, Kerkythea or Vray for SU to render these scenes.
For the first image, I assume that it is the interior of a condo and with that I think you need to place a column at the far corner where the two windows meet. The overhang of the slab above is almost like 3m and it looks a bit unstable as there are no visible large columns adjacent to it that will support it. The floor also needs some bump. Since you are now in sketchup, you can also add your background within your model by modeling a very huge billboard beyond the windows and placing your background as a material and making it emit light. With this setup the glass on your windows would be able to reflect the furniture and walls of the interior.
For the 2nd image, replace the material on that aluminum ottoman with something like this http://themagazine.info/products/-/145.html
Cheers!

Re: first sketch up render
render wise, good job!imo you need to practice modelling as well, if you have time. Time will come that design will challenge your modelling skill and wala kang makikita sa Mall na pede mo ishop. Don't stick on the instant way.
