Re: Using HDRI in Vray SketchUp
bakit may normal map at specular map na tanong ka dito bro.. hehehe. hdri to. can you place this sa vraysketchup Q and A.. dun nalang natin answerin.
Re: Using HDRI in Vray SketchUp

Re: Using HDRI in Vray SketchUp
sir nomer, how would I know if the HDRI I'm using is Shperical, Cylindrical or Boxed type?
I just got my HDRI files from a friend, and when I asked him, he didn't know either.

Re: Using HDRI in Vray SketchUp
sir nomer my tanong lang po ako about sa hdri, kasi yung tutorial mo is for interior, ask ko lang po kung panu siya iapply sa exterior na nakablend sa sun. kasi yung hdri pag inapply sa environment yung shadows niya smooth at di distinct, pero pag sun yung gamit defined na defined yung shadows. panu po yun sir? hehe.. Thanks po sir in advance!

Re: Using HDRI in Vray SketchUp
i think this is about the relationship of the zoom at scale ng model.arki_jezs wrote:sir nomer tanong ko lang po, bakit po nung sinubukan ko gawin yung nasa HDRI tutorial, parang masyado po malaki yung nagiging reflection ng HDRI? di n po makita yung buong image, part lang ng image yung nrereflect? pwede po b mascale yung reflection nun?
it depends sa hdri file mo. i cant answer since i dont have your hdri file. what you can do is try to test it. i load mo yung hdri duon s aslot at ilagay mo as spherical or cylindrical. tapos tingna mo sa preview window.agm65 wrote:sir nomer, how would I know if the HDRI I'm using is Shperical, Cylindrical or Boxed type?

Re: Using HDRI in Vray SketchUp

Re: Using HDRI in Vray SketchUp
darzie listen carefully ok. this is what you have to do.
2. Click Blend map (not sky)
3. Texture A (select SKy map.. sun lang sya)
4. Texture B (select sky. this time load mo yung hdri)
ngayon you are using both HDRI and sun.

Re: Using HDRI in Vray SketchUp
please help, I really cant get the background to work. I did the blend (sky+hrdi) then added hdri for the background and its still dark (picked a bright dosch hdri for the test) If I turn off camera its super bright. sorry if this is a dumb question but really having trouble with this one, please help me with the right settings, thanks in advance.

Re: Using HDRI in Vray SketchUp
when you are using the blend map automatically the sun. you have to remember that the sun is a big powerful omni light. therefore you have to decrease its intensity if you are using it together with HDRI.
the vray physical camera was design to act as counter balance on the sun bright exposure. you used the camera so its underexposed your lighitng. so you need to read the manual how to adjsut hte camera exposure how to brighten up the image. also you need to increase far far high the multiplier of your HDRI in order to appear. both can work but you need to first understand the above and second all your with experimentation.
pero kung hindi ka pa sanay, i will be advising you to just adjust the intensity of your sun ( siguro umpisa ka sa .01 instead of 1) ngayon tingan mo kung anu ang magiging epekto.
cheers...

Re: Using HDRI in Vray SketchUp
Thanks for the info and will continue to explore the plugin.

Re: Using HDRI in Vray SketchUp
actually if you are not using sun and only hdri super strightforward lang sya. pero since you are using blend map ng sun at hdri so medyo kakapain mo yan.
Re: Using HDRI in Vray SketchUp
GI-multiplier=.8-.5, Sun (you may lessen its intensity for lighter shadow)
BG-multiplier=3, HDR bitmap [environment-spherical (kung gusto nyo yung reflection at UVchannel pag marami kayong reflection source)]
CAMERA SETTING=
shutter-100 (lessen kung dark)
Fstop-6 (babaan kung dark)
ISOspeed-150 (lessen kung sobra ang exposure)
make sure na naka tick yung exposure right next sa ISOspeed mo.

sir, how to make the shadows solid? kasi soft shadows po ang na pro produce ng hdr, i tried blending hdr and vray sun pero ganun parin,
Re: Using HDRI in Vray SketchUp
Re: Using HDRI in Vray SketchUp
irorotate lang yung model to certain angle? Kapa-kapa style? and then adjust the angle of north?
Is there any easier way to achieve yung gustong part ng HDR map sa BG?

Re: Using HDRI in Vray SketchUp
this is a bit difficult to achieve harry, kase it depends sa scale ng hdri, scale ng model at siempre yung layun ng FOV. there is no easy way. but vray works in inches.
