A Classic to Modern Minimalist Renovation
First topic message reminder :
The very first rendering that i did for my new office. A residential renovation. Special thanks to sirs mushroom, ERICK, hdri master arkibons, and to all of you here in CGPinoy, for pushing me to go on with the artform. I would not have done it without you guys.
C n c are welcome...thanks
Max , Vray, PS...+HDRI...
kakaluto lang: OPTION 2
Here's something i made for study. My first time to do post work using after effects, and my first try at doing DOF on post, via the lenscare plug-in. Hope someone can help me with the workflow in AE for this. thanks..
Raw image took 13 mins to renders at 1024 x 768 pixels on my home pc, a quad 2.8 rig.

Some very rush revisions, done this afternoon, and rendered at the office on a core2duo machine. 1024x768pixels @ average of 19 mins.

Una sa lahat thank you very much. Lighting is composed of a vraysun, and an hdri map on the environment slot. You control the feel of the image by rotating your hdri map, through the horizontal and vertical rotation parameters of your hdri map. by leveling your render multiplier value and your vray environment value, you can further tone the lighting that you aim to create. Hope I was able to impart some ideas to you sir.

---By this you mean the "vray environment override" slot? I was under the impression that the numbers there will be rendered useless once you have the vray hdri environment map slapped on its box?... Wherein all the lighting is controlled via the map radio dials?...

Re: A Classic to Modern Minimalist Renovation
@sir cloud: yes sir....altough i still need to investigate some more. I remember sir vitamins told me about cranking up the vray environment override value, years ago. But i have a gut feeling that once you load an HDR image, your lighting is automatically controlled by your HDRI map. hence your direct light will only complement your scene by giving a pointer as to where your shadows are coming from and as a hint to the time of day that you are simulating.
In fact you can render something minus the direct light, with only your HDRI controlling your overall illumination. This one is good for product renders based on my studies.
Maybe somebody can clear us up on how the HDRI behaves when loaded onto our rendering engines.

Thanks a lot.
To answer your question: Yes, i only used one source of light, that is a vray sun, with a shadow size multiplier of 2.5 i guess. The higher the multiplier value for your sun shadow size multiplier, the softer your shadows will be. Hope i was able to answer your query sir. Thanks a lot for dropping by.
