Hi guys, just wanted to share this new house design I'm doing. concept stage right now and almost done. Nashare ko lang kasi meron akong mga bagong ginamit dito like dome light hdri and mga tweaks sa dati kong settings. I'll share them soon. Wala pa akong windows kasi iniisip ko pa ang mga location. cc's are welcome.

ito muna ang mga ginamit ko dito:
1. vraylightmtl with bitmap on plane para sa background.
2. itoosoft trees downloadable sa www.itoosoft.com
3. vraylight na dome with HDRI - ito ang latest kong discovery na better than using hdri sa environment slot. pro tingin ko best for exterior lang ito. will do more test soon.
4. exponential color mapping 1.5,1.5,1.0
5. increasing interp sampling will refine the output.
6. increasing the ir preset will expose alot of details.
7. adaptive dmc 3min-6max will further increase the details
8. clamp output will remove jaggedness on bright areas although hindi ko gaano nagamit dito kasi wala gaanong bright areas
9. checking glossy rays on lightcache will reduce render time. nadiscover ko lang ngayon lang.
10. hsph sampling need not have high values. konti lang ang contribution nito sa output.

so far ito lang muna.

Looks okay Master Boks... Pwede mo din apply yung disp map dun sa ridges susunod sa angle nya... Di ba matagal ang render times?...

nice boks. share ko lang, mas maganda to pag naka on ung AO. kung naka vray sun ka, increase mo ung size/multiplier para mejo soft ung shadows instead na super sharp.

thanks bro. will try that also. ies sun ang gamit ko dito at max9 vray 1.5sp1. walang on/off na AO. but will do that sa materials instead at palitan ko ng vray sun or adjust soft shadows sa ies light.

9 minutes lng to sir, tpaos ganyang ok na quality na, very nice sir tlagang optimized ang pagkakagawa ah. antayin ko final nito sir, lupit malamang.

yup bro. kung wala yung tree na nagcast ng malaking shadow at kung walang displacement sa stone. less than 9 mins pa. pro pag tinaasan ko na ang mga settings, baka abutin na ng 45mins to. I'll post the results sa next update ko bro. gusto ko kasi gawing tutorial din itong project na to. kaya I'm observing everything while doing it. thanks bro.

ok bro ah, haneps sa bilis...so far ang pinaka mabilis ko dito sa house is 25mins..ok din masubukan ang workflow na ito. And the output is pretty good.

As for vray dome light, we tried using that n combination with standard cameras, parang nakakaproduce kasi ng better g.i. as opposed to just relying on pure direct lighting. I have also tried embedding an HDR map with the dome light, but my rendertimes are a bit bloated, that was before max 2009, dunno with the newer versions, maybe it is better optimized.

How do i enable AO in my render? The only method i know is, rendering a separate dirt pass, and compositing the images via an image editing program. And of course, mental ray has a built in AO shader, although since this is a vray render, there has got to be an AO switch somewhere.

yup bro, kasi maps on plane yung leaves nya. I think, pwede mo din iproxy, although hindi ko pa natry.

Thanks arkied, I think, mas madaling icontrol ang dome light with hdri. yung AO yata built in na sa higher version ng vray at max.
