Updates on CPE for RLAs
The Continuing Professional Education Council (CPEC) for Architects, through the PRBoA announces that four (4) Providers for CPE Programs for Architects have been approved as of 22 February 2010.
The 4 CPEC-accredited PROVIDERS of CPE Programs for registered and licensed architects (RLAs) are:
1) United Architects of the Philippines (UAP), the IAPoA under R.A. No. 9266 (The Architecture Act of 2004) under CPEC Accreditation No. (AN) 2009-001 (expiring in 3 years);
2) Construction Manpower Development Foundation (CMDF) under CPEC AN 2009-002 (expiring in 3 years);
3) University of Santo Tomas (UST) as a Center for CPE & D under CPEC AN 2010-003 dated 11 February 2010 (expiring 11 February 2013); and
4) David M. Consunji Technical Training Center under CPEC AN 2010-004 dated 11 February 2010 (expiring 11 February 2013).
As of 22 February 2010, the CPEC-approved CPE PROGRAMS under the UAP are:
1) Architectural Lighting (3-day course of approx. 18 contact hours for 18 CPE credit units/ CUs);
2) Hospital Planning and Design (A Foundation Course for Architects) - a 5-day course of approx. 35 contact hours for 30 CUs); and
3) Planning for Architects: A Capability Building Seminar for Architects - a 6-day course of approx. 40 contact hours for 40 CUs.
As of 22 February 2010, the CPEC-approved CPE PROGRAM under the CMDF is the Construction Safety and Health Course for Site Safety Officers (5-day course of approx. 36 contact hours for 36 CPE credit units/ CUs).
