Your first 3D full-time job
Thanks in advance....

Re: Your first 3D full-time job
sakin, nag take ako ng 3d viz course sa microcadd for 2 months, then tinulungan ako ate ko makapunta dito sa qatar as tourist, tsaka ako nag hanap ng work.... indemand ang draftsman din dito, maraming offer, yun nga lang, mahirap makahanap ng full time 3d viz lang talaga, puro draftsman with 3d knowledge ang deal. pero ok naman sakin as long as ok naman ang salary, at ok narin para sa experience. nung tumagal ng tumagal ang panahon, marami akong natutunan sa mga naging katrabaho at sa boss. minsan nakakasawa din pag puro ka 3d hehehe, mamimiss mo mag autocad 2D works. hehehe

Re: Your first 3D full-time job
By the way nagwork din pala ako dati sa Microcad as CAD Operator.

Re: Your first 3D full-time job
your portfolio is the best credential you can present to prospective employers.
Re: Your first 3D full-time job
I wanted to share with you my experience...
I graduated with 0 knowledge in 3D visualization but I know how to use Photoshop. Then, self study na lang sa 3d max gamit mga online tutorials until I was able to produce a decent portfolio. Wala pa ko alam about vray that time.
At that time my classmate is working in HBO+EMTB sa Makati as a 3D Visualizer and asked me if I wanted to apply as a 3D Trainee since wala pa kong professional experience sa field natin. I got hired receiving a monthly allowance lang tamang pangkain at pamasahe lang papnta makati.
Nakatulong pag work ko as trainee kasi parang pumapasok lang ako sa school tapos binabayaran lang nila ko para matuto. At first tinuruan nila ko ng proper modeling techniques ng mga furniture pieces.. so sa first month support lang nila ko para sa mga models na need nila. 2nd month, tinuruan nila ko paano magmodel ng structures at extrusion ng models from cad plans..paisa isa nakakabuo nako ng projects the before my 3rd month dun pa lang nila ko tinuruan ng paano magrender using Vray. After my 3rd month I got absorbed by the company to be their regular employee.
After 2 years of experience being with the company naglakas loob ako mag-apply abroad. I have prepared all my portfolio, every now and then nag iipon at nag a update ako ng mga sampleworks ko until now. Then the rest is history. I've been working here abroad for 5 years now and I thank all my mentors and friends in that company because I would have not reached this far kung di dahil sa kanila at sa first company I've worked with.
Based on this, I can suggest you start building your portfolio and update it every now and then. Continue to study and practice the craft.
Look for mentors na pwede tumutok sayo at mag lead ng tamang proseso or teknik sa pagti-3d. To tell you honestly what I have learned sa mga online tutorials e medyo iba sa tunay na proseso ng paggawa ng 3d sa trabaho. You will able to learn dumiskarte sa work kasi mabilisan ang pacing at may deadlines na laging hinahabol.
If sa tingin mo ok na expericence/ 3d background mo at may maganda ka nang portfolio that would be the great time na isipin mo ang pag aabroad. Just a suggestion but doesn't apply to all of us asi may mga tao din namang talented at lucky ika nga
Goodluck and have a great journey ahead sa career mo dude!
