i tried freehand before, but i like illustrator now. i dont know if its alike.

using corel since 1995

almost same as illustrator and photoshop combined
only advantage i find with corel photopaint vs photoshop is:

photopaint lens flare is more powerful than photoshop and you can work without or with layers.
