Highrise condominiums Empty Highrise condominiums

Post by Canadium Sun May 16, 2010 5:49 pm

These were originally posted under environment & landscaping. I just thought of posting them here because the more, I look at them, the more they seem not to fit under that category. For one thing, there is no land or anything that resembles a landscape on the scenes. I got my inspiration for these images from the documentary movie Manufactured Landscapes. I think dito sa movie na ito nakakuha rin ng idea si Alex Roman para sa kanyang The Third & The Seventh kasi may similarities.

The buildings are modeled in SketchUp, the tower caranes were downloaded from the google 3d warehouse. Images are rendered in indigo renderer 2.2.

wow ganda, modelling, lighting , and rendering ayos. comment lng, dapat hindi muna napinturahan yung mga building tapat or malapit sa tower cranes para may konting drama, na ongoing pa rin construction nya. imho lang sir. tnx. Very Happy

Maraming salamat Sir! That is a good idea. I may do another render with an unfinished building.

ERICK wrote:nice indigo render dude... master mo na talaga to.. just wondering if intentional ung white color ng mga buildings... or practice to? anyways.. galing ng render...

Thanks a lot Sir! The scenes were originally intended as test or practice renders on repeating an object thousands of times in a scene (similar to proxies) and just chose the white color without thinking of any color schemes. But since the renders looked ok, kaya naisipan ko na ipost.

Maraming salamat Sir! I will be preparing some renders na makikita na yung ground at street na may mga kotse.

mukhang bitin ako sa mga views bro, wala kase ground cover na nakikita, the structures are crowding the frames
a few observations. i guess too much yung clusters at volume ng condo structures in one place... halos magkakatabi kase...
imagine yung volume ng cars/ transportation needed to move the people living on this place... syempre kasunod na dun yung environmental problem galing sa emissions nung mga sasakyan, kitchens, etc...
i guess parang study lng tung ginawa mo, if you could enlighten us on your objective of this study?

Thanks a lot Sir. I definitely agree with you. Yung spacing ng mga buildings was somehow similar to the ones found around St Jamestown (a neighborhood in Toronto with 17,000 residents on a 600m X 600m area). But on the renderings, the number of building clusters was overly exagerated 20 times or more to make it look like an interesting artwork. The design of the buildings was also somehow copied from existing structures. The scenes here are part of a study or test I made on how to dupilcate an object thousands of times in a scene inside skecthup. The thread can be found here: http://www.cgpinoy.org/environment-landscaping-f50/landscapes-in-sketchup-t11267.htm

In the future, I will be refining the scene to make it in line with reality.

galing din ng indigo sa render, aside from attaching materials its simple and easy to manipulate.master mo na ang indigo.one thing sa scene na to is the same color of the building and same model i think.but its good also to put some different texture or color...to add reflection/refraction/emit or ambiance in the scene.i like your work...practice pa lang ba to?

Yung ibang camera angle sa scenes are actually similar to the views from my apartment window. Maraming salamat sa pagdaan Sir.

Thanks a lot Sir! It was duplicated several times, re-sized and rotated.

Another cityscape I did almost a year ago. At that time, I was experimenting on repeating lighting fixtures on a scene using dummies (proxies).

Thanks for sharing these with us.

@ arkiedmund - Thanks a lot Sir! I will be doing some more renderings showing the streets and parks around the base of these buildings. Kasalukuyan ko pang minomodel ang mga ito. Regarding sa last image na may mga ilaw, I totally agree na dapat may variety ng mga ilaw. Unfortunately nabura accidentally yung sketchup file ng scene na ito when I tried moving my files to an external hard drive. I will be preparing some evening scenes of the other renders and this lighting variety will be definitely added.

Thanks Bro! Most of the images here were rendered in 3 hours time. Ganun kabagal indigo render. The 4th image was rendered for 10 hrs. kaya wala itong image noise.
