stainless steel cladding help..

hi mga masters..
soon kasi we might have a project using stainless sheet cladding..
its my first time for me for this finish so nag bebeta test nako on how to achieve it..
unfortunately di ko pa sya na aachieve..hehe

workflow = CAD > 3d max + vray

im trying to improvise the chrome material setting (diffuse = pure black, reflect = pure white with freshnel on and IOR = 19)
but im not getting it..sobrang layo sa gusto ko ma achieve..
pinaglaruan ko nadin using the chrome setting (even silver) kaso wala parin..

i also try searching the net pero wala eh puro papunta sa chrome material..

heto po reference pic na ganun sana ung outcome..(parang chrome eh pero hindi sya..hehe)

Kung V-ray material ang hanap mo marami available sa net. Kung mental ray meron agad na default Arch & Design material na available sa 3dsmax.

By the way IOR na 19 is wrong. Check http://www.pixelandpoly.com/ior.html#W for correct IOR settings.

I did a few test and came out with something like this. Though not the perfect material, pro I think pwede mo na to paglaruan until you get your desired material. simple vraymat lang, tapos I added smoke sa bump. I also used hdri on this one para may variation lang ng konti sa reflection. tapos 2.2 ang ginamit kong IOR. thanks logik for the reference. I used the IOR for titanium. I think pareho sila ng properties. either kasi titanium alloy yan or zinc alloy. good luck sa next project mo, sana makatulong to.
