Minimalist Living Area Empty Minimalist Living Area

Post by badongrodrigs Wed Mar 14, 2012 1:46 am

Hi guys! This is my first post here in CGPinoy, tho i've been lurking for a while now. Smile

I joy-entered an online competition for interior rendering and this is my entry! It's a pretty simple scene (compared to the amount of scene accessories I see in a lot of renders here), but I was going for a minimalist look with a touch of warmth. Smile Shoot it or praise it, i welcome any thoughts!

Nice, but I prefer blinds (kahit nakabukas or hindi nakasagad sa floor) on this scene to create more shadows. Well that's just me, G.I. is really good btw.

yeah, I was going for the overcast sky look so I did an over-bright render. I found that having the details of the trees outside to be distracting (but i may have overdone the brightness a bit hehe)

Same as above, i was going for an overcast mood (cloudy rain-ish sky) instead of having bright sunshine. Smile I initially put vertical blinds there i found it too cold and formal for a living room.

About the G.I., it was more of a post-production effort hehe gotta love the render elements.

Nice one badong! Welcome to CGP. I like the way you presented this. Some few nitpicks lang. Either you show the trees outside or totally removed them sa scene. Sa lush ng trees kasi, it's impossible to achieve such glow, since mabablock dapat ng trees ang intensity ng ilaw. Pag walang trees or tipong you trees palang, this is feasible.

Pero superb output pa din. Keep it up!

hehe actually what's out of scale is the person (which is ironic, since the reason i place people in my scene is for scale reference)

For this one it's just a simple poly model in max then rendered in Vray with multi-passes so I can cheat further in Photoshop. Smile Furniture and electronic models are stock.
