Maximizing RAM Empty Maximizing RAM

Post by hob06ver Mon Jan 10, 2011 2:31 am

hello mga masters and members, im just new in 3D max especially in Vray and I have this problem of maximizing ram. From my old computer w/c I only have 4GB ram when rendering vray the used memory is up to 2gb only. But now I got a more faster computer with 12gb RAM, the memory used is the same (2gb only), even though I have already changed the setting from 400mb (default) to 8000mb, dynamic. Im using Vray 1.50 in max2011. Is there any way I can increase or maximize my memory? Thanks so much sa mga suggestions. ^_^

tama po kayo master erick at kieko, what i observe pagdumadami at nagiging complex ang irerender nya gumagamit din sya ng mas malaking memory. I'd tried to add displacement sa grass at adding more archmodels di sya nagfail katulad ng luma kong computer. Akala ko kasi once you have that very high memory gagamitin agad nya kahit sa simple rendering lang... Anyway, thanks sa lahat ng nagreply. ^_^
