difference of suvray/maxvray

ask ko lang mga cgpepz kung ano ang mga pagkakaiba ng suvray sa maxvray(vice versa),just want to know ahead what we expect when we shift to maxvray or suvray(vice versa)TIA..magiging malaking tulong ito para sa mga gusto mgshift ng kanilang vray...
san ba dapat ito?dito sa vray o sa max section?im not sure....palipat na lang,thnx!

for me, a max user bro, nasilip ko dn ang SU hah...
* modelling- more modifiers and options sa max
* rendering- dami rn plugins. for vray esp., on materials, easy access on tweaking. visible mapping in viewport.
sa output, same lng n mn...it depends on the artist...
and mostly it depends n rn kng ano talga platform, at ano ms convenient natin bro... mapa-max mn or SU...

good question...

1. Option panel... physical camera and vray sun you need to create them in Vray max using the create panel. while vray SU follow use the location of your SU sun. and at the same time the su camera.

2. Vray max you need to create new vray materials, while VraySU(bago) Vray materials autiomatically created when you apply the native SU material and will use your SU material as the diffuse map.

3, vray max support vray fur, vray proxy, vray override materials, vray dirt . Photometric lighting...IES while Vray SU no.

4. vray Su slows down during parsing time( readingSU native geometry and components and how SU texture had been apploed to the geometry while Vray MAx seems has 0 parsing.

5. there are more light and camera types available in vray max.

6. when you click diffuse,, max has mmore than 40 tyoes while vraysu has only 11 (and by the way they are diiferent) in Vray SU you could have a double diffuse layer

7. IN Vray SUm you control the trasparency of the object in the trasparency slot next to diffuse but in Vray Max is in the Refraction color parameters,

8. when you apply the diffuse layer using Sketchup, Vray Su will rake note how you map the object and will automatically create a vray material... emiisve map, bump and displacemetn will follow the UV value of diffuse map automatically. in Vraymax you need to enter the UV values manually.

9. Vray SU you could have as many layers of diffuse, refraction and reflection.. in vraymax no.

10. IN Vray SU they call it Fresnel map, in Vraymax its Falloff map

11. Multisub object with as many assigned ID's is ok in max ,, in SU is no.

12. Max is converting all texture with GAMMA 1.0 (Vray max you can overrife this into 2.2). SU doesnot do anything on this GAMMA issue.

whoa, very well said po sir nomer, i myself is having a hard time doing stuff on max sir jenaro, isang madugong pakikipagsapalaran hehe.

un hinog brow jenaro..i myself try the workflow ng su max..parang dudugo ilong ko. d lng sa natatakot but my pc does..ayaw yata ng max..laggggg....pero kaya natin yan..its takes time..andito naman tayo..give our best sa mga ginagawa natin.salamat master nomer....
